Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how X Enterprises, LLC ("X Enterprises," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use Unicourse® at https://unicourse.io, https://portal.unicourse.io, and related pages and services that link to this Policy (the "Service"). Unicourse is a DBA of X Enterprises, LLC, 18122 3rd Dr SE, Bothell, WA 98012.

Unicourse is a software-as-a-service learning platform. This Policy covers the Unicourse Service. It is not a description of every other X Enterprises product.

By using the Service, you agree that information will be handled as described in this Policy. Use of the Service is also subject to the Terms of Service (/terms/) and the Cookie Policy (/cookies/). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

This Service does not publish an email inbox on unicourse.io. Privacy requests may be sent by mail to the address at the end of this Policy. Publishing that address is not a promise that an office is staffed on a set schedule, or that every message will receive a reply beyond what the law requires.

Roles: controller and processor

For account holders and visitors to our marketing pages, X Enterprises is typically the controller of personal information we collect to operate Unicourse.

For learner or employee personal information that a customer organization uploads or collects through the Service, that organization is typically the controller, and X Enterprises processes that information on the customer's instructions to provide the Service. Customers are responsible for providing their own notices and obtaining consents where required. A separate data processing agreement may be available for enterprise customers on request by mail. This host does not publish a separate DPA page in this pack.

What we collect

Information you send us

Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:

  • account registration details (such as name, email address, organization name, and password);
  • billing and plan details when you purchase or renew a plan (processed with our payment partners when checkout is used);
  • course content, training materials, and related files you upload;
  • learner and teammate information you invite or import (such as name and email);
  • support messages and form fields you submit on /support/ or similar channels;
  • preferences such as cookie consent and color mode.

We do not ask children under 18 to create accounts.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Service, our hosts and application software record ordinary logs. Those logs typically include IP address, date and time, requested path, referrer, and browser or device user-agent. We use this for security, debugging, and operating the Service.

Cookie consent storage and color mode

The marketing site uses a first-party cookie consent tool. If you make a choice in that tool, we store the choice in first-party browser storage (localStorage key xMarketing.consent) so we can honor it on later visits. See the Cookie Policy (/cookies/).

The marketing site may also store a first-party color-mode preference when you use a light / dark control.

Analytics and marketing scripts

Optional analytics or marketing scripts load only if they are configured on this Service and you grant the matching consent. As of 6 September 2026, the public unicourse.io HTML we fetched does not publish a Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, or Microsoft Clarity measurement ID.

What we do not invent on this Policy date

We do not list payment-processor brand names as live on unicourse.io marketing HTML because none were published there on this Policy date. We do not claim artificial-intelligence model providers as Unicourse processors based on marketing copy, because the live marketing pages do not advertise AI features.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and debug the Service;
  • create and manage accounts, trials, and subscriptions;
  • process payments when you purchase a plan;
  • deliver courses and show analytics to authorized users;
  • honor cookie-consent and display preferences;
  • respond to support and privacy requests we actually receive;
  • prevent fraud and abuse;
  • comply with law.

We do not sell personal information.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including:

  • our website and application hosts (marketing and portal pages are served on Vercel infrastructure);
  • payment processors when you pay for a plan;
  • email or messaging providers used to send account, trial, or support messages, when those tools are configured;
  • authorities, when required by law or to protect the Service, our rights, or others;
  • a successor entity, if we transfer Unicourse as part of a reorganization or sale, subject to appropriate protections.

Customer organizations may access learner and teammate information they submitted. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Service sets or uses cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy (/cookies/). Optional analytics or marketing scripts load only if configured and consented.

Children privacy

The Service is for organizational training and adult administrators. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 for Unicourse accounts. If we learn that a child under 18 created an account or sent us personal information, we will delete it where we can and terminate the account.

Customers must not use the Service to target children under 18 as learners unless they have a lawful basis and have configured the Service appropriately under applicable law. If that use case arises, the customer remains responsible for compliance.

Retention

We keep account, billing, and customer-content records as needed to provide the Service, to meet legal and accounting duties, and to resolve disputes. We keep server logs as needed to operate and secure the Service, then delete or overwrite them in the ordinary course of hosting. Browser storage for consent and color mode stays until you clear it or change the setting. After account closure, we delete or de-identify personal information within a commercially reasonable period, subject to backups and legal holds.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or port personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, subject to the limits and exceptions in applicable law (including comprehensive U.S. state privacy laws). We do not sell personal information.

If you are a learner or employee whose organization uses Unicourse, please contact your organization first for access or deletion of learner records. We may redirect learner requests to the customer organization when that organization is the controller.

To make a request to X Enterprises about information we control, write to X Enterprises, LLC, 18122 3rd Dr SE, Bothell, WA 98012. We may need enough information to verify you. We will respond as required by applicable law. Publishing that address is not a promise of a staffed helpdesk or a fixed reply time beyond what the law requires.

If we deny a request, you may write again to ask us to reconsider. You may also have the right to complain to a regulator that has jurisdiction over you.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. The Service does not respond to DNT. You can control optional cookies through the consent tool described in the Cookie Policy, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

Location of processing

The Service is operated from the United States. Information we collect is processed in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you do so on your own initiative. Information may be accessible to U.S. authorities as required by law.

Third-party websites

The Service may link to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.

Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
